About Bryony Hopkins

I'm a London based senior journalist (producer/writer/speaker) with seven years experience working for one of the biggest media organisations in the world, as well as many other publications. I've worked across short digital video, long-form documentaries, breaking news, text and social media and so have experience both creating and curating. Most recently I have been writing articles and producing original films for BBC News and BBC Three. My films 'Surviving Lockdown', a look at domestic abuse during the coronavirus pandemic received over 1m views across BBC social platforms. My film 'But You Don't Look Sick' received over 2m views, and was picked up by multiple publications in the UK and abroad. I am passionate about finding untold stories and creating digital first content - whether that be social posts and curated moments, original films, branded content or text pieces. I thrive in a fast-paced environment and have significant experience in managing productions end-to-end.
Normalising chronic illness and increasing disability representation in news and media is a passion of mine and a key theme running through my portfolio. I am a mentor and public speaker on this matter, and advocate for inclusion in everything I do.
My written pieces - Metro, MTV, Huff Post, Indybest
